Ok, so you are wanting to spend a session here at CircleYAcres.
Daily Camp Schedule ( Perfect for small groups and up to 12 kids per session.)
You must have a group of 5 kids or more. If you have 10 kids then your group will be private, otherwise we will sign up to 6 other kids for the same session.
The hours are 9:00 to 12:00 pm or 1:00 pm to 4:000 pm.
We will start off teaching the kids how to brush the ponies and how walk around them in a safe manner. I will give a quick lesson on how to saddle a horse and then they will be able to try this by themselves. I will also teach them how to hook up a horse for driving. Later on in the day they will get a chance to go on a carriage ride and get a chance of driving her.
We will start off in the round pen with a lead line used and I will teach a child balance and get a fill for if they have a natural balance for riding. I will start off at a walk with me holding the horses and see how well they can take charge of the horse or pony. They will try a trot when I feel they are ready. This can usually start off right away or it may not happen that day.
I will spend about 10 minutes each time with two riding horses. They kids that are not riding will be able to brush the ponies while they are tied up. They will be able to practice putting on a saddle and takin it off one of our minis.
We will just keep at this and every child will get plenty of rides.
The last 45 minutes I will hook up my driving mare and we will go on a carriage ride.
If you have a large group that is more than 12 kids. You can have one group start off in the first session 9:00 am to 12:00 and the second group can be here to take lunch with the first group and we will start back up at 1:00 pm again.
