Horse back riding can be a great experience for any age.
Here at Circle Y Acres
we teach both English, Western, Gymkhana Barrel Racing of any age.
Let our patient experienced instructors and horses teach you or your children about horse care, safety, handling, grooming, saddling, mounting, dismounting, reining, posture, hand, leg and voice commands.
We specialize in beginners of all ages.
If you
are just starting out, your lesson will include catching, leading, and grooming
the horse in addition to riding. Your first lesson may include more of these
things then actual riding, most people at this point have a hard time riding
for a full two hours. Depending on your age, you will also be introduced to
basic general care, feeding, ect...
Our rates are (two hour lessons)
This is also for ANY age rider that is able to ride by themselves and understand and take instruction.)
Private (one rider): $45.00 per/person 2 hours.
Small Group (two riders): $30.00 per/person 2 hours.
Large Group (three riders or more): $25.00 per/person 2 hours.
We offer to our students a chance to go to horse
shows, mostly Gymkhana's. The gymkhana shows we go to do offer western and English
classes. We can talk about this once your child is ready and has taken a few
private lessons first.
The fee's to go the the shows is: $175.00 for the first show. Then $30.00 for each additional show. You will then pay your own entry fee's to the gymkhana show. You can enter as many or as little classes as you want.
We also offer lead line. We also offer you to lead your child around here on our ranch if they are not able to ride by themselves. The fee's is $25.00 ( for 2 hours ).The fee's is $45.00 if we lead them around. We will saddle the pony and you can bring a sack lunch and just spend time here wtih the animals.
We do require SEI/ASTM hard hats to be worn by ALL riders that can be provided
for your use here at our ranch.

What do you wear to your first lesson?
We can provide SEI/ASTM certified hard hats for you to wear. Just remember to wear neat fitting clothes, nicely fitted jeans, and a boot with a heal.
Riding pants, jeans are fine for your first year.
We also offer driving lessons on both our haflinger horse "Babe" and our pony "Precious" $35.00 for two hours. This includes learning how to hook up, drive and unhook each horse.
Cancellations will still be made for heavy rain or thick mud, thunderstorms and really windy conditions and heavy snow.
