This is Rikki. I purchased her on Septemeber 4th, 2006. (Lilly aka Rikki's) Sire is a 16.2 Registered Perchaeron Stallion. And her dam is 15.3 Arabian / Thoroughbred. Rikki was her 3 colt. The other two are both kid safe and ecellent in the riding arena.
I first noticed rikki in the pasture of a stable I was boarding while waiting for our home to be built. She follwed me around like a puppy. She just wanted to be your best friend. The guys were working on a fence and she was trying to help. You don't find horses like her around very often. I was told she was saddeled once. I put the saddle on her back in a round pen one day. I went ahead and got on her. She never flinched an eye. I the rode her aroudn and she just was like ok. The next day I rade her around in the round pen and then decided to take her to the arena. I then approached to asking her to trot. It was like riding a horse that had been ridden several times. I then asked her to canter. In all my years of riding I have never asked a horse to trot or canter on the first ride. She was awesome to ride and still is. I have now ridden her 5 times as of March 11th, 2007. I can't wait till she turns 3 because I have big plans for her. I am going to start ground driving her this week and hopefully hook her up a little soon after.
A few weels after we moved in I noticed all the horses were running out of the barn acting differenet. Then all of a sudden Rikki comes out with a doubled ladder around her head. She was just walking around. I walked towards her and she just seemed irratated. I tried to get it off and the she would lunge forward. I had to call the vet and there hee in 15 minutes. They brought an assistant with them thinking this horse was bouncing off the walls. The vet was shocked she was just standing and eating.
March 19, 2008 I didn'y have my horse cart yet and only had a pony cart. I hooked up Rikki and she did great. I even took off the blinders off and she took that well..
June 1,2008 I drove Rikki for the first time. She did awesome. We even trotted and sge was a champ.
